exported, one example is wine: the value of wine exports to China jumped 18% to
a record $1.25 billion for the year ended September 2019. The average value of
each liter of Australian wine sent to China surged 40% to $8.42 according to
Wine Australia. Under the China-Australia Free Trade Agreement most of
Australia’s food exports to China are now tariff-free. We export $5.3 billion
of food to China with a rise of 40% last year (EFIC Growing Australia’s food
and beverage exports). Online presence is a key way to penetrate the China
market and safe, traceable food is fundamental.
